For a corporate event, a planner wanted a decor piece that looked high end, threw light around the room, and could be set up in minutes. We built a set of stackable disco ball cubes.
Quick specs
- Size: 20 x 20 x 20 inches each
- Quantity: 3 cubes
- Materials: wood frames with a silver painted finish
- Detail: clear acrylic top panel on each cube to hang the disco ball
- Design: built to stack, so they work as one tall column or three separate pieces
- Investment: about $300 per cube
The build
Each cube is an open wood frame painted silver, so from a few feet away it reads like brushed metal while staying light enough for one person to carry. A clear acrylic panel across the top of each cube holds the disco ball, so the ball looks like it is floating in the middle of the frame.
The cubes are built to stack securely on top of each other. Planners can stack all three for a tall statement piece, or spread them out across tables, a bar, or a stage.
Why planners like them
They take seconds to set up, they catch every bit of light in the room, and they can be used again for the next party, wedding, or brand event.
